They will resume practicing this morning up in Cranberry,

and one can only hope that after another handful of days away from the team,

since Gino didn't accompany the Penguins to either Detroit or Columbus, that he'd be that much

closer to returning. Having now missed 15 games, he's been skating on his own, he's been skating

with the team to an extent needs to get into at least

a full practice or two before he can be back. When he is, and I know this is now a common

point of discussion, who's going to come out? That common point of discussion used to be

really, really easy.

You'd just cite some random old guy and say him, out! Kevin Hayes, out!

Well, that's not where we are anymore.

We're in a place where the only way you can tell this tale is to spell out all four of the current forward lines.

Sidney Crosby, Brian Rust, and Ricard Raquel are

not about to be broken up. The second line, which has had Tommy Novak between Anthony Manta and

Justin Brzoe, is going to have Gino back in that spot once he returns. Bet everything that you own on that. We'll get to Novak in a minute.
