That said, you also can have a random dream about Ron Hextall.

No, I don't remember at all what the dream was about.

I just remember that I was, for whatever reason, in the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, waiting outside the Flyers locker room and Hextall walked by,

but it was weird that Hextall was in my dream, okay?

And that got me thinking about something that's become so seemingly universal in acceptance

among the Penguins fan base that I thought I'd bring it up today and counter it as at least a semi-my myth.

And that's that Kyle Dubas showed up hamstrung by Hextall, meaning that, you know, his hands were tied, just nothing he could do.

It was a hopeless situation, and it was going to take him a decade or whatever to undo it now

please do not mistake one syllable of this segment as being some sort of endorsement for hextall

hextall deserved to be fired when he was fired i called for it at the time i applauded it once it

happened all right we're clear with all that?

Okay, good.

Now, that said, one of the things that's gotten attached to Hextall, and it's right to have it attached to him, but not in a negative context, is that he signed a bunch of guys, older guys, for way too long.

And that sounds like a really cool thing to say on your, you know,
