I had mentioned to you yesterday that I saw this as a pivotal game for where this team is on the schedule in the conference, even in the metro.

And what they did with this victory was to slide up to third in the metro.

And that does matter, not now, of course, but at season's end,

because it means if there are teams in the overall conference or wildcard race that have more points in you,

it doesn't matter. Being top three

in your division does. Sidney Crosby, Yvgeny Malkin and Tommy Novak each had two points. Goals came
