Not yet. There's just too much that's not known yet about the degree to which Sidney Crosby is hurt. And at the same time, it's a pretty big deal. Good morning to you. Good Thursday morning.

place that you found this. Crosby exited Canada's game yesterday and eventual 4-3 overtime victory

over Chequia with Mitch Marner scoring the winner and Sid didn't return.

Reports from Italy have mostly been vague and understandably so. John Cooper, the coach had

little to add about Sid's status afterward,

other than to say that Sid was vocal with the team in the second intermission,

and that part of the Canadian's motivation to prevail as they did arose from not wanting that to be Sid's

last Olympic game. Now, lots of different ways you can interpret that statement, assuming the

statement is even worth interpreting. So there's not much. You can see on the replay, he was hit

by Radko Gudash, who has a reputation for such things,

going back to his days in Philadelphia and certainly continuing now in his captain's role in Anaheim.

He goes at Sid pretty hard.

I don't know that it was cheap or anything, but Sid bends back in a way that he really shouldn't bend back and the right knee appears to give out to an extent. Knees are funny. You can see knees get injured and think you know whether it's severe or not and you don't know anything.

Probably the most encouraging sign of all was that as Sid was headed down the tunnel, leaving the Canada bench,

he was able to place weight on his right leg. Now, again, that just might have been ill-advised. Who knows? He was to go for MRIs. And officials from Hockey Canada are expected to offer some kind of update today. A reminder here that Kyle Dubus is an assistant GM, so it might even be him delivering that

update if it isn't done by Cooper. One way or another, there's stuff to think about here. And I'm

going way past respectfully here whether or not Canada were to end up winning the gold. If Sid does play in the

semi-final round against Finland tomorrow, he would have two more games before flying home from

Italy. And then, at least theoretically, he would resume playing next Thursday, a week from today, against the Devils.
