1:06.7 | I really hope you're saying, oh divine, this sounds an awful lot like obstructive sleep apnea. |
1:17.8 | You're going to see that in a person that is obese, the person snores, the person has a short thick neck sometimes. Many times you notice that those, they feel very tired during the day and many times you're going to notice that people that have sleep apnea, at night they'll have hypercaria because they're holding onto CO2. |
1:37.0 | They're not able to blow off that CO2 very well at night, so they have hypercaria. |
1:41.0 | Although usually during the day they are completely fine. |
1:44.0 | Although if you notice that a person has like deep time hypercarbia, deep time hypercapnea, |
1:50.6 | then and the person is obese has the classic sleep apnea symptoms where you notice that while this person seems to have hypercapnea during the day, the one thing you absolutely positively want to think about is the person |

2:08.1 | syndrome obesity hypovintillation syndrome and remember the person sleep apnea, you're obviously going to diagnosis with a sleep study. |
2:16.0 | You're going to perform polysomography and then you're going to treat it with C-pop orPAP. You can also recommend lifestyle modifications like lose weeks and things like that. |
