Let's get started by bringing in the man who says that Soup of the Day implies the existence

of a possibly more sultry soup of the night.

It's Mr. Jim Hill. Jim, how's it going?

It's 10.30 in the morning. It's August and today here in New England, it is supposed to,

at least feel like it's a hundred degrees out. So right now, I'm having soup of the morning

in my shorts. I would kill for some boolea bass now, because that's cool soup, right?

Let's get out of here. Just watch out. Just watch out. Just watch out. Or Borscht, some nice Borscht.

Borscht, you go. You're in the mountains. You could head up to the caskills, get some Borscht,

and be fine. Oh, it is one of the great, great regrets of my life that I never made it to

grossingers, the place in the caskills. I do have a copy of the cookbook that the daughter

of the guy who ran grossingers made, and it's just sort of like, oh, blinches and

and lots of all soup. I mean, the real stuff that they served there and the great hall, but

but yeah, I never made it up to the caskills when it was the caskills.

Are any of the big, uh, big resorts still open?

No, no. In fact, you know, there's urban explorers.

There's a bunch of them who've actually been into grossingers and, you know, I mean,

the giant indoor swimming pools and the great performance spaces where the great comics used to go

up into the caskills, you know, I mean, that's where Danny K and Mel Burle and all those folks
