It's been really an ongoing opening up of my eyes, so to speak, from when I first became a professor.

So my original work in academia was to try to incorporate evolutionary psychology and evolutionary biology to study human behavior.

And I was shocked to see that many of my colleagues who were social scientists, business school professors,

were dead set against the idea that biology matters to human beings.

And I thought, how could it be that otherwise intelligent, educated people
