and it also makes your meditation ritual a little lighter and more joyful.

Meditation can become a little heavy because it's such an introspective type of ritual. Well this week you are encouraged to focus on

discipline. Doing something mindful such as meditation as you're doing right here right now and also

including movement in your day. This was essential for the samurai. They always

daily had fierce discipline in regard to how they practice their warfare

skills and physical fitness.

Also, many people don't know this about the samurai,

but they spend a lot of time doing such rituals such as meditation.

Also, they painted, they wrote poetry,

they did the Japanese tea ceremony,

Japanese Ikebana, which is the flower arranging, and they did all of these

rituals because these rituals are all about interiorization, tuning into yourself, your highest self.

So they focused on mindfulness and movement every day and that's what I encourage you to do.

And this week make sure you focus on being more disciplined. So think about when you might do this

mindfulness, when you might do this movement, maybe you do them together, maybe you go
