All right, welcome to episode 619 of the Divine Intervention Podcasts. In today's podcast, I'm going to be

0:08.3

addressing the elbow, the back, and the neck, and the USMLE. So just think of this as an MSK

0:17.3

podcast, and I'm going to be discussing the elbow, the back and the neck.

0:22.7

These MSK topics are things that you either know or you don't know.

0:28.0

You know, test-taking strategy many times is not going to help you.

0:31.1

Now, one big problem I've noticed with these MSK topics for many people

0:34.2

is that many resources just go overboard on the things they

0:38.1

emphasize that you need to know. The thing is, in my experience with the USMLEs, there are just

0:43.1

a very discrete series of things that they require you to know with these MSK complaints. If you

0:49.3

know those things, then you're going to be good to go. And also, one thing I've also found to be helpful is knowing certain things you see in the Q stem, in the question stem that helps you rule out certain pathologies. So I'm really going to try to emphasize those things as we go today and, you know, hopefully it should be in pretty good shape. All right. So let's start off with the elbow. 1:24.7

And he tells you that, yeah, he notices that his ring finger feels weird.

1:26.8

You know, it has this pins and needle sensation.

1:28.4

It kind of lasts for a couple of hours.

1:30.8

And then after a while, it stops, right?

1:35.0

And then, you know, they tell you that, oh, that he has this distribution of these symptoms in the distribution of his fourth and fifth digits, right?

1:38.5

And that sometimes even has this redeating pain in his forearm, you know, on the inside

1:43.2

of his forearm.

1:46.0

And then they tell you that you tap the person's, the back of the person's elbow and you can reproduce the person's pain.

1:52.3

What should you be thinking about in this circumstance? I really hope you're saying that,

1:56.8

ooh, divine, this is a cubital tunnel syndrome right cubital tunnel syndrome is a

2:02.5

classically tested disorder on the us Emily exams right and basically the thing that happens is
