Welcome to Inklings.

In reality, it is midnight on Wednesday night at my house,

and I'm realizing that I've got a meeting that got

moved up tomorrow that makes it so I can't be at inklings. Now it's too late to call anyone else

to be in charge of inklings. So I'm hiding in the kitchen while Greg is sleeping. And I'm just

thinking about this talk from Elder Uppdorf. And so what I'm going to do

is I'm pre-recording you kind of a short inklings, but with invitations for you to ponder

since you have set aside an hour for your study. And what I'm hoping is that you'll write down each of the

invitations and then take some time to be able to think through and study them. What I want to do,

let me tell you where we're going to be. We're going to be in Elder Udorf's talk, nourish the roots,

and the branches will grow. And we're also

going to be in Alma 30. So you're going to want your Book of Mormon. And I want to actually start

in the scriptures because there's a pattern that happens that Elder Udorf pointed out to us that I want to just think

about for a minute. And the pattern is going to be in Alma 30. In paragraph 36, he says this,

the Book of Mormon tells of a people who were strict in observing the ordinances of God.
