It's a grim day.

The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals based out of New Orleans, this is the most conservative court

in the country. It was a three

judge panel made up of two Trump appointed judges and a George W Bush

appointee, three Republican judges, basically said that a pregnant woman's fetus has the exact same

level of importance in an emergency room as mom.

And I mean, this is shocking.

You would think that, you know, saving mom would be the priority in a crisis.

And weirdly, this all goes back to a strategy that Ronald Reagan used.

It was actually in part put into place by Ted Kennedy back in 1986. I mean Ted

Kennedy authored some of the you know large parts of this legislation. Remember

COBRA? You know those of you old enough to well actually even now I mean COBRA? You know, those of you old enough to, well, actually even now, I mean, COBRA still exists.

If you have a job where your employer is paying for your health insurance and you leave that job,

whether you quit or whether you're fired or laid off or whatever.

Under COBRA, you can pick up that health insurance and continue it for a period of time.

I think it's a year, I'm not certain.

But you can continue the insurance for a while you just have to pay the

bill yourself but you get you know the price that your employer was paying which is typically a bulk

price and you know which was kind of a cool thing well that COBRA law had a

smaller provision within it it was actually written as a whole separate law that
