Mono Gonzalez here in studio with John Metzker, and we are going to be discussing a fun topic, which I think is an important topic today.

John has written a book called Poking God's Eye, a theological

and historical view of anti-Semitism based on the blessings and cursings of Genesis 12.3.

And welcome, John. Thank you. And John has been in ministry for a long time in various ways and

capacities and has worked with

Ariel Ministries and Dr. Arnold Fractenbaum. And one of the things that we want to talk today

is, John, this is kind of, I'll give you a little background. This is, I appreciate you being in

studio. But I thought this would be perfect to have you here to discuss some of these because

a few months ago there was a

an interaction between Tucker Carlson and Senator Ted Cruz.

And so for those that might not have seen it, they went back and forth and Tucker had asked Senator Ted Cruz, well, why should we be supporting

the modern nation of Israel? And it was kind of a setup, but that's fine. And, you know, again, I don't

know anybody's heart, so however it worked. But Senator Ted Cruz responded and said, well, you know,

Tucker, when I was a kid and I was in Sunday school, there was a verse in the Bible, those who

bless Israel will be blessed and those who bless Israel will be blessed,

and those who curse Israel will be cursed. And so Tucker immediately began to challenge him on

that Sunday school theology being connected with foreign policy, okay, modern American foreign

policy. And yes, he, you know, again, his tone was a little aggressive, but he did ask some reasonable questions about what that looks like, what that means in practical ways. And again, you wrote a whole book on what that looks like in practical terms. So, but what I want to do here in the front is Tucker has mentioned on other occasions and that you see this idea of Zionism.

And whether it's secular Zionism or even Christian Zionism, it gets a dirty word.

And so I kind of want to lay the foundation here because what I did is right after that a few
