Hey guys, my name is Johnny Art of Annas, and this is dial in. In this episode, we continue in

John's Gospel as we come to John chapter 19 versus 17 through 37. Let's dial in.

0:17.2

John chapter 19 versus 17 through 37. So they took Jesus and he went out bearing his own cross to the place called the place of a skull,

0:25.6

which in Aramaic is called Galgotha.

0:27.6

There they crucified him and with him two others, one on either side, and Jesus between them.

0:33.6

Pilate also wrote an inscription and put it on the cross.

0:36.6

It read Jesus of Nazareth, the king of the Jews.

0:39.3

Many of the Jews read this inscription, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city,

1:13.5

This was to fulfill the scripture which says, they divided my garments among them, and for my clothing they cast lots.

1:19.9

So the soldiers did these things, but standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopis, and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus saw

1:28.8

his mother and the disciple whom he loves standing nearby, he said to his mother, woman,

1:33.6

behold your son. Then he said to the disciple, behold your mother, and from that hour the disciple

1:39.3

took her into his own home. After this, Jesus, knowing that all was now finished, said, to fulfill scripture,

1:46.1

I thirst. A jar full of sour wine stood there, so they put a sponge full of the sour wine on a

1:51.5

hyssop branch and held it to his mouth. When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said,

1:56.6

it is finished, and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit since it was the day of preparation
