Hey guys, my name is Johnny Art of Annas and this is Dial In. We arrive at the 17th chapter

of John's Gospel which records the longest prayer of Jesus Christ. Our passage is John

chapter 17 verses 1 through 5. Let's dial in.

John chapter 17 verses 1 through 5.

When Jesus had spoken these words, he lifted up his eyes to heaven and said,

Father, the hour is come, glorify your son that the son may glorify you.

Since you have given him authority over all flesh to give eternal life to all whom you have given him.

And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God in Jesus Christ whom you have sent. I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do.

And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory that I had with you before the world

existed.

Now we come to the passage of scripture in John 17.

That is the Lord's Prayer.

This is Jesus's Prayer.

Now you might be wondering, wait, I thought the Lord's prayer was when Jesus prays our Father

who art in heaven, how low to be the name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth

as it is in heaven.

No, that's the disciples

prayer. That's the prayer that Jesus teaches his disciples when they come up to him and say,

Lord, teach us to pray. But here in the 17th chapter of John's gospel, we see Jesus praying to his

father, and this is the longest recorded prayer that we have of Jesus in all of the
