I thought for the longest time Devin Williams couldn't pitch here.

I think Devin Williams did actually a pretty good job of shattering that narrative that he couldn't handle New York. I also think because you guys acquired, as you mentioned, David Bednar, you felt, okay, if he comes back, his role is as a seventh or a raithening guy. Yeah. And I made a comment about this a few months ago, and it may have sounded weird, but I remember when Devin Williams showed up to Nick's opening night. Aaron Judge was there, and who was the other Yankee that was there? Was it Cam Schlittler? Yes. With him and Devin? Yes. I think you're right. So it's Cam Schlittler, it's Aaron Judge, and it's Devin Williams. And obviously, we're all making a big deal out of it. Oh, Judge is there. Schlittler's's there. And I remember saying, boy, I got to tell you,

Teak, this guy loves New York.

If this guy was who I thought he was, and a lot of us thought he was, he would have raced out of this town as soon as the season was over. Right. And so I think most of us eventually turned out to be wrong about Devin handling New York to the point.

I don't remember if you even included him. I don't think I did. I don't think so. He doesn't seem familiar, but did he come up in our free agent thing? He did. We'll reveal that answer maybe at another date. All right, cool. But I remember saying to Sean, you want this guy back? And he's like, yeah, I kind of trust him.

And so I don't think you represent every Yankee fan by any stretch,

but I think that you represented the part of Yankee fans who ended up warming up to him enough to where you were good with bringing him back,

which would have sounded unfathomable in May.

I'm going to guess, Sean, a lot of that was because you look at Luke Weaver and you're like, all right, I can't trust him anymore. There just weren't other options. So, and this all ties together. First of all, your point about 20 million, I completely misread what I thought because of a booming reliever market. I thought a lot of these guys would get paid a ton. I'm kind of shocked. Devin Williams didn't get paid more. But I'm an idiot and that's fine.

He did pretty well, though.
