Hey, this is John from the Bible Project. Today on the podcast we are going to finish the

0:13.0

conversation that we began last week. It's a live conversation that Tim and I had in

0:17.1

the Pita's California at the end of last year on Design Patterns. If you haven't listened

0:22.4

to the last episode, I highly recommend you do that. We introduce the idea of design patterns

0:28.1

and walk through one in particular in detail so that you can understand what it is and

0:33.4

how significant it is to understand the Bible as literature. This conversation, we complete

0:38.5

that and we have the video on Design Patterns up on our YouTube channel that you can watch.

0:45.0

It's youtube.com slash the Bible Project. But without further ado, here is the rest of our

0:49.5

1:17.4

it's intuitive. When you have been telling me, oh man, this has been blowing my mind, I didn't

1:23.3

think you were going to talk about how words would repeat. No. No. But you know me, I like to,

1:30.2

we are both the same way. If we want to understand something, we want to build it from the ground up.

1:37.9

Okay, so we will go deeper. We are spunk and down. But it's the first basic, if you don't have this

1:43.9

tool and your tool set, you won't track with anything else that happens. You have to become a skilled

1:50.8

observer of repeated words. That's where you start. That's level one. Correct. Yep.

1:56.5

Let's read. So what we will do is we will go to the next level. And then we will stop again for an

2:05.9

extended Q and R. That can just be open to anything at the end of this. At the end. Sounds good?

2:14.2

Okay, cool. So we will cover more. However many we can do and then we will do that.

2:19.4

All right. Well, but here's, I mean, Robert Alter, he's great. So it's just good summary transition.
