Today we're going to look back to one of the very first episodes we

ever did, April 14th, 2017, almost seven years ago with former NFL defensive back. He's now a

pastor outside of Charlotte, North Carolina. His name is Derwin Gray. He played five seasons in the

NFL with the Colts and the Panthers.

He's now the pastor of Transformation Church, like I said, outside of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Derwin has one of the great testimonies you'll ever hear on being introduced to Jesus. And it

happened in the locker room when he was with the

Indianapolis Colts in the NFL, and it's a story involving the naked preacher.

I'll just stop there and let Derwin Gray share that story here on the Sports Spectrum Minute.

So I'm a rookie, just like you describe. You're working

hard. You're trying to make the team. And I notice after practice, there's a linebacker that's

6-2-240 African-American guy. That's very normal for the NFL. He takes a shower after

practice. Very normal for the NFL. R wraps a towel around his waist, very normal.

Then he does something that's unnormal.

What a white towel wrapped around his waist in a Bible, he walks around the locker room asking guys, do they know Jesus?

So, you know, I wasn't a Christian.

I didn't know what that meant.

So in my mind, I'm going, do you know Jesus? I'm like, dude, do you know you're half naked?

And so I asked the veterans on the team. I'm like, hey, man, what's up with this half naked black man walking around talking about do you know Jesus?
