Summary

Roberta returns to the William Ramsey Investigates podcast to discuss Johnny Depp's civil case against actress Amber Heard. Depp is suing Heard for an article she wrote where she describes herself as a victim of domestic abuse. Depp lost a similar suit in the United Kingdom. In that case, Justice Nichol concluded the Sun UK's description of Depp as a "wife beater" was "substantially true." Nichol affirmed that Depp abused Heard on twelve different occasions, making her fearful for her life three times.

1:13.8	expecting to disagree with Nicol, but as I read on, I found the evidence against Depp increasingly
1:20.6	compelling and convincing. The strongest evidence against Depp are his own words in his
1:27.2	text messages and emails. And I found nothing in Depp are his own words in his text messages and emails.
1:29.7	And I found nothing in Depp's civil trial against Amber Heard for defamation to change my mind.
1:36.6	And despite Depp's well-moneyed public relations offensive in a country that seems to sing Depp's innocence like a choir, I've once again
1:48.5	chosen to express an opinion I believe is supported by the facts presented instead of a popular
1:54.9	and pushed fantasy. I don't stand with Johnny Depp, nor do I stand with Amber Heard.
