Summary

Jalen Williams’ hamstring injury and Kawhi Leonard’s ongoing knee issues ignite a chaotic week in fantasy basketball. Can managers trust players like Aaron Wiggins, Ajay Mitchell, and Jordan Miller to capitalize on these unexpected absences? Josh Lloyd tracks major shakeups across the NBA, dissecting the impacts on lineups such as Magic vs. Grizzlies in London, the Nets’ four-starter benching against the Bulls, and the Pelicans’ unconventional rotations.

So we'll go through all of that. We'll go through a little bit of news.

1:44.8

We'll do that first, actually. Just cover off a little bit of information. Most of the stuff I've talked about in some of the earlier shows today. But I will cover off this big news with Jalen Williams with a hamstring injury. We don't have a timeline on it. I'm going to expect two weeks at least here. I would think that Aaron Wiggins would start alongside Dought and Chet and Kaysen and he's the other I.S. Shay. And then to get Hartenstein back eventually he'll cut in there, but he'll get more minutes for AJ Mitchell. AJ Mitchell is the priority to add. And then it is probably Wiggins after that, and then we can reassess when Hartinstein returns. Kauai also dealing with a knee problem.

1:45.9

So he's missing today's game.

1:47.0

He's also missing the next game.

1:47.9

He's been sent home already.

2:02.1

Maybe returns on Wednesday, but this is part of the problem with Kauai, why we didn't want to draft him as the worry about the knees. We don't want to draft him early despite the per game production. and the worry that I had was he was going to go hard early on and play a lot of minutes because he wasn't injured to start the season and maybe that would catch up with him.

2:03.0

I hope that's not true.

2:04.5

I hope it's not true.

2:18.0

But... that I had was he was going to go hard early on and play a lot of minutes because he wasn't injured to start the season and maybe that would catch up with him. I hope that's not true. I hope it's not true. But he's missing these two games, three games with knee problems, knee irritation. Without Kauai, we have to check to see whether they do any funny business with John Collins, I think we'll be all right. Without Kauai, someone that can step up is Colonel Kobe Sanders,

2:20.9

but more importantly, I think Jordan Miller, even though he's shooting well above his head,

2:21.8

he won't continue that.

2:23.6

Both Sanders and Miller, they were two-way guys.

2:26.9

So if this did turn into a long-term scenario with Kauai,

2:29.4

they would have to make decisions of what they're doing with their contract.

2:34.4

But Miller's at least a stream guy in a slightly deeper format at this point. I don't know who they'll start in this spot. It probably will be Sanders, I'm guessing, and then we see what they do with Johnny Collins. The other injury update, Darius Garland, toe injury. I think that it'll be, it depends on what Sam Merrill and Dean Wade statuses are, but I don't think that Craig Porter will get that spot. I think it'll be Jalen Tyson, but there's a bunch of those extra guys getting minutes. I prefer Tyson over Porter. I prefer Tyson and then Merrill over Porter as well, but Porter is a deeper league ad. But again, last game, we got some information on that without Garland, but that was without Merrill and without Wade. And both those guys can come back, combine 55 minutes, and impact a lot of stuff in that rotation. And then one thing I talked about on the daily preview show

3:07.6

is that I expected De Anthony Melton to sit out on Monday,

3:09.8

on the back-to-back, and he is. So just confirming that, that when we talked about Melton and the value in the Warriors, Jimmy's back, by the way. Melton will be out on Monday. So I just wanted to make sure that was confirmed, and you guys knew about it. We can go and talk games.
