Americans cast their votes and in the end Democrats saw a lot of success, especially on the issue of abortion. For example, voters in Ohio voted yes on a ballot measure that solidifies abortion rights into the state constitution.

Also, in historically Republican Kentucky, Democratic Governor Andy Bashir easily won re-election.

Abortion was a flashpoint in that race too.

In Virginia, Dems who ran on the abortion issue flipped control of their state house
