Democratic National Convention inside this arena the party taking

another critical step in the fast-track launch of its history-making

presidential ticket taking center stage tonight the vice presidential

nominee Minnesota Governor Tim Waltz.

And Jake, this is certainly Governor Waltz's best opportunity yet to share his story

with voters and show them why Vice President Harris chose him as for running.

That's right it was a very truncated vetting process Anderson and Democrats

are right now touting the regular

guy Midwestern dad energy that they believe Governor Walz brings to the

ticket we expect to see some of that on display in his speech tonight the

campaign says that Walz will highlight the small town values he grew up with in Nebraska along with his experience outside of politics as an assistant coach for football and a teacher and a national guardsman.

Democratic insiders describe the governor's speech as positive and patriotic.

The night's other top speakers include former president Bill Clinton who will be delivering his 13th Convention address.

Also we'll hear from former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
