As faculty for the state violence that our students were subjected to and traumatized because of we could not stand on the

sidelines any longer. We knew we had to step up. The first faculty led Gaza Solidarity Encampment has launched at the new school here in New York City.

We'll get a report from outside the university where

then to Princeton University where over a dozen students are on hunger strike.

We have begun our hunger strike to stand in solidarity with the people of Raza.

We are drawing from the tradition of Palestinian political prisoners going on salt water only hunger

strikes in Israeli prisons since 1968. We'll speak with one of the hunger striking Princeton students.

And with Larry Ham, he's running in the Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate from New Jersey. He's also a Princeton alum who helped lead

the protests in the 1970s calling for Princeton to divest from apartheid South

Africa and a new play recalls a dead divest from apartheid South Africa.

And a new play recalls a devastating fire

in London's Grenfell Tower that killed 72 residents in 2017. It's written by Jillian Slovo, daughter of legendary South African

anti-apartheid activists Joe Slovo and Ruth First. All that and more coming up.

Over 100,000 Gazans have fled Rafa as Israel escalates its attacks on the southern city.

Deadly aerial attacks on Rafa have targeted residential and

public buildings in the tightly packed area. The Israeli army's closure of Raffa's

border is preventing food and medical supplies from entering Gaza.

Community kitchens there say they do not know how much longer they can keep running.
