This is a unique Combat Story and part of a new Podumentary series where we interview some of our fan favorite guests and go even deeper on the moments in combat that forged them. This week we have Tom Satterly, former Delta Force Sergeant Major whose first battle was in Operational Gothic Serpent (Black Hawk Down) and his last was some battlefield in the post-9/11 era. Tom co-founded and runs the All Secure Foundation with his wife Jen. All Secure helps save vets who are dealing with challenging times.

A 501(c)(3) nonprofit launched in 2017 by Tom and Jen Satterly, the All Secure Foundation is dedicated to supporting Special Operations combat veterans and their families in healing from complex trauma and PTSD.

I'm Tom Satterley.

I served in the Army. The units I was in while I was in the Army,

I was the 54th Engineer Battine in Germany.

I was in the 27th Engineer Battalion at Fort Bragg.

I spent a short minute at Fifth Special Forces Group in Kentucky,

and I spent 20 years in Delta Forest at Fort Bragg.

I was deployed all around the world from Somalia to Iraq to most other places I really can't speak about.

I grew up in Seymour, Indiana, actually more so Columbus, Indiana. I was born in Seymour, Indiana, and I grew up in Columbus, Indiana.

My family history of military service starts off way back with the great-grandfathers who served in World War I or World War II.

My father did not serve based on having three children and his age at the time and supporting

And my brother joined the military when he was a junior in high school and I was a freshman

He went to basic training on the summer before his senior year in high school.
