and I wish so much you had been in on a lot of that

because we discussed what happens

when you want to be a person who delights in God, but a lot of people around you

are cynical about God. Let me tell you something. You can have delight all by yourself.

The beautiful part about it, though, is it is highly contagious, highly contagious, it sneezes and gets its

holy germs all over everybody. But ladies what I want to say to you because a

number of you may have cynical husbands, you know what? Give up beating them over the head

with the sword of the spirit. Don't use the sword as a weapon. Do you remember when

Peter drew his sword and cut off the ear of the servant and actually he was going for his neck because if you'll think about it

What he did he pulled the sword out this way it would have been on this side of on this left hip

He pulled it out like this and it says he cut off his ear.

Well, how did he do that?

Did he hold it still and go, stand there just for a second while I?

No.

What he did was swung it like this and he dipped his head like this and he took his ear off. That's what makes

sense to us. But you know what occurs to me about that scene over and over again?

Very often that's what we're doing with the Bible. We're cutting off people's ears because we become so toxic in our

religiosity that we're turning everybody off. I tell you what you be a person a holy

passion you be a person that learns to delight ask God to fill you with the
