I was just talking about, as we head into the year 2021, figuring out where are you in the scale

of preparedness versus confidence, and it is my, unfortunately, my opinion that about 95 to 97% of the people who have firearms

for self-defense are overconfident and under prepared. And the two often go

together. The less training you have, you don't know about what you don't know. The more training you have you have you don't know about what you don't know the more

training you have you go oh man there's a lot of stuff to know out here and I'm not

really as good as I would like to be even though you may be an absolute expert.

Somebody who is in fact an absolute expert,

whether it's with knives, clubs, guns,

or anything else and has done interesting things in various parts of the world.
