Michigan came to Brooklyn with a 2-0 record, but there were plenty of questions in the early going.

The Wolverines had one fewer total rebound than their opposition through the season's first

80 minutes of action. Michigan had leaned on its starters for more than three-quarters of its minutes.

And hey, this past Friday, Eastern Michigan gave U of them everything it could handle in that Friday night Michigan win by five.

Obviously, hey, you played a win.

Michigan was 2 and 0, but normally the numbers are a bit more lopsided after two games for a high major against a mid-major.

Now, Pittsburgh is a struggling ACC team.

They're picked to finish second to last in that 15-team league.

Still, this is a high-major program with program with some high major talent, and Michigan took them to task.

The Wolverines were 35 of 60 from the floor.

That's 58%.

18 of 25, 72% after halftime.

And the Wolverines only coughed up six turnovers.

didn't come until the 532 mark of the second half. And in terms of bench production, Michigan

got plenty of it. Joey Baker racked up 14 points. He was five of six from the floor,

four of five from deep. Doug McDaniel wowed the crowd at Barclay Center with some dazzling plays.

He put together eight points, eight assists, and five boards in just 21 minutes.

We saw Terris Reed Jr. make a few plays. Jace Howard continued to get meaningful stretches.

Isaiah Barnes, Will Cheddar, and Yusuf Kiat had an opportunity to play late.

In all, Michigan's bench scored 34 points

and did it on 12 of 16 shooting. Yeah, that'll play. Michigan came in as the better team on paper.
