Michigan men's basketball will likely be a trendy Big Ten championship pick.

Many will consider the Wolverines a national contender as we lead up into the season for plenty of reasons.

The biggest one literally and figuratively is the return of soon-to-be junior center Hunter Dickinson.

Oftentimes, the storylines this time of year and heading into the summer revolve around the big names in college

basketball like a hunter dickinson but as we all know true championship contenders come

january february and march get to that point due to the sum of their parts and don't get me

wrong hunter is a championship player who likely has to be the focal point

for this team and a darn good one at that in order for Michigan to hang some banners coming up

next March and April. But titles come about when, yes, the expected stars play like stars,

and some other players make that leap, whether it's from a reserve role

into a consistent role or from a consistent role into a star-type opportunity.

For Michigan, as you look at this roster, doesn't Terrence Williams the second feel like

a prime may be the prime candidate to do just that? T. Will has been with his program for two seasons,

and he is yet to solidify an anticipated, expected, consistent role every single night. He has

referenced consistency plenty of times during his career as something he needs to

secure.

And if he can be more consistent with his game, then you would expect his role and his

playing time would be more consistent too.
