Hello, hello everybody. Welcome back to another episode of Fluently Forward. Today on the show, we are doing a deep dive on Doja Cat. I've wanted to do this for a while because I have complicated feelings about Doja Cat. Sometimes she does something and I'm like, fuck yes. That's like exactly what a celebrity should do. I love that you're saying this. I love that you're being ballsy. I listen to a song. I'm like,

this has everything that I want. Or I rewatch a performance again and again, and it's amazing. And then

other times Doja Cat does things, I go, this is the worst thing a celebrity could do. This is exactly what

celebrities should not be doing. And I don't know if we would get along well in person at all.

So I have a lot of varied thoughts about Doja Cat. And today we are going to talk about her early

life, how she started on SoundCloud and then became everything that she is today.

We're going to cover some of her controversies, not particularly to be shady, but just because

it lends a lot of insight into Doja Cat. And I mean,

she's one of the celebrities that has probably the most controversies is the word that I would

use to describe it. Like Taylor Swift has the most beef. Beefs. She's the beefiest. She has the most

tiffs, basically, with people in Hollywood.

I would say Lana Del Rey has the most, like, foot in her mouth moments.

Maddie Healy and Doja Cat probably have the most, like, controversies.

I kind of see a lot of similarities between them.

So we'll talk about that, who she's dating, and then some of the blind items.

So without further ado, let's get into it. I am recording this episode a bit early, but by the time

that this episode comes out, her new album should be out. It is coming out September 26.
