breath after tackling the huge hill of Park Street, but we've made it to the top

to visit the address behind me. 37 Queens Road. Today it's a barbers and through the big

shop front windows we can see the good men of Bristol getting some great

hair-cuts. This building was the Bristol

headquarters of the Women's Social and Political Union. On the 25th of October

1913, this center of suffragette activity came under attack. Suffragettes had burned down

Bristol University's Sports Pavilion and the students were out for revenge. An estimated crowd of 300 descended on this
