0:28.9	We planned it this way to be in the Book of Luke, the most well-known version of the Christmas story here the week of
0:34.8	Christmas. So here is how this works. I'm going to read three chapters to you today. You can
0:39.2	listen or read along in your own Bible and then I'll pray and that's it. So today is December 23rd I'll be reading
0:45.6	Luke chapters 1 through 3 and this month I'm reading from the NASB. Luke 1.
0:55.0	Since many have undertaken to compile an account of the things accomplished among us,
1:00.0	just as they were handed down to us by those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and servants of the word.
1:06.0	It seemed fitting to me as well, having investigated everything carefully from the beginning,
1:10.0	to write it out for you in an orderly sequence, the most excellent Theophilus, so that you
1:15.3	may know the exact truth about the things you have been taught.
1:19.0	In the days of Herod, King of Judea, there was a priest named Zechariah of the division of Abaisea and he
1:25.1	had a wife from the daughters of Aaron and her name was Elizabeth. They were both
1:29.2	righteous in the sight of God walking blamelessly in all the commandments and requirements of the Lord.
1:34.8	And yet they had no child because Elizabeth was infertile and they were both advanced in years.
1:40.1	Now it happened that while he was performing his priestly service before God in the appointed order of his division,
1:45.6	according to the custom of the priestly office,
1:48.0	he was chosen by lot to enter the temple of the Lord and burn incense.
1:52.4	And the whole multitude of the people were in
1:54.7	prayer outside at the hour of the incense offering. Now an angel of the Lord appeared to him
