Good morning, everyone. The Simple Handicap for Wednesday, December 15th. Thank you for making me a part of your morning.

And thank you for bearing with me a couple of days as I struggled through a little bit of everything laid out on bed.

If you probably paid a little attention last week, you heard the voice and the nose

and everything deteriorating slowly day by day.

And then Thursday night absolutely crashed and was in bed till really, I would say,

like officially this morning, it was a good five-day outage. And so I was able to watch a lot of NFL on

Sunday from the laptop in bed. But other than that, it was a very quiet four and a half,

five days. So back at it this morning, wasn't able to be with you Monday morning, wasn't able to be

with you yesterday morning. wasn't able to be with you yesterday

morning, only missed about 65 different COVID issues around the league, which is becoming a mess,

I guess, more so than just here in the community, or I guess wherever I was flying back to.

So it's happening everywhere again. And it's a little bit

unusual or I guess unsuspected that now we're seeing rates of COVID list additions, I guess

we'll call it, at a higher rate than we did all last season. So these last four weeks, I don't know if teams are ultimately going to change protocol.

There's going to have to be a shift because the league at this rate is not going to make it

into the playoffs with a lot of teams at full strength.

And so last season in general, I was never really concerned

about any bets that I was making because the way teams were handling it was pretty intense,

pretty serious. This season, especially these last two weeks, it just feels a lot more out of

control. And so I don't know if that's

going to lead to later wagers in the week, how I'm going to handle it. I don't know. But it's,

it's a weird circumstance that I don't think any of us saw coming. And we see the immediate impacts
