Martha is a doctoral-level end-of-life licensed professional counsellor and counsellor supervisor,

coach, consultant, speaker and author.

She has been with more than a thousand children and adults at end of life,

in hospitals, homes, and inpatient hospices.

Could we start off if you tell us about your

background? Sure. I started out as an undergrad in psychology and I got a degree,

psychology degree and worked as a child life specialist in the states.

I don't know if they have that in England or not.

The states, it's a group of people who help with psychosocial support for kids and families

when the children are sick.

I worked a lot with children who were dying and their siblings.
