Summary

Join us on the next episode of Crime Salad where we examine the complicated marriage and attempted murder of Alisa Mathewson. In March of 2017, Trevor Summers and his wife Alissa were going through an acrimonious divorce. For 16 years Alisa was lied to, controlled and manipulated by her husband. He even controlled her Facebook friends and forbade her to speak with any men.  In October of 2016 she had had enough and made the difficult decision to leave her marriage. Six months later she was moved out and waiting to finalize her divorce proceeding. She had also begun dating again. That would turn out to be a grave decision.  As Alisa embarked on a new life, Trevor manipulated his children into giving him access to his wife's new home under the guise of "fixing their family". When in reality he was planning a murder-suicide. His control didn't end at his arrest...it extended all the way through his trial where he insisted on cross-examining Alisa. He attempted to control Alisa and the narrative on their marriage one last time. Support us! Want ad free listening?
