Ruby stumbled into the foyer, her briefcase banging against her knee as she stumbled over the threshold.

Kicking the door closed, she shrugged out of her blazer, breathing out a sigh of relief. She plopped

the briefcase onto the entryway table with a sigh, rubbing her temple as she tried to shake off

the exhaustion of another ten-hour day.

"'Alyssa!' she called, hoping her wife would appear to greet her with a smile and a kiss.

Footstep sounded behind her, and Ruby turned to see Alyssa strolling into the living room,

a steaming cup of tea balanced on a tray. Hey, babe! Alyssa greeted, her voice soft and warm. I was starting to get

worried, another long day. Alyssa set the cup on the coffee table, her eyes catching rubies as she

leaned in to kiss her, a hint of lavender and mint wafting from her skin. Ruby immediately

returned the gesture, resting her hands on her wife's hips. You have no idea. Ruby muttered into the

crook of Alyssa's neck. It's like the walls of the office are closing in on me.

Half the time I feel like I'm drowning in a sea of spreadsheets. I swear if I see one more number,

I'm going to scream. Alyssa chuckled, her hands running through Ruby's hair and a smooth

Ruby hummed in agreement, a small smile playing on her lips.

"'Ah, sounds lovely,' she murmured, allowing herself to be guided up the stairs by Alyssa.

They arrived at their bedroom, and Alyssa drew Ruby into a kiss, her lips lingering as her fingers danced along the curves of Ruby's body.

The kiss deepened, their bodies pressing together in a silent plea for more, before Alyssa pulled away with a smirk. Her fingers traced the lines of Ruby's blouse, the softness of her touch
