Day 259 of Heart Dive 365. I'm your Bible study friend Kanoi. Welcome to the Heart Dive podcast.

Well, today we are finishing up the book of Daniel and taking a look at spiritual warfare,

believe it or not, in the middle of this book, actually the end of this book of prophecy. We are studying chapters 10 through 12 today, reading from the ESV by Crossway Translation. Before we do that, we always start with prayer. So let's go and prepare our hearts. Heavenly Father, thank you so much for this day. Thank you so much for this time. Thank you for your word. We thank you for you for you for being such a good God. Thank you, Lord, for the way that you display yourself every day through nature, through

relationships, through time that we get to spend with you in your word and in prayer.

And we just pray, Holy Spirit, that you will move in this space and time today.

We just pray that you will breathe upon this word so that when we crack it open, that it will make sense to us, that things will start to become unveiled, that the scales that might have been on our eyes will start to fall off, that we will see things differently, and that we will finally start to understand. But we also recognize, and we're walking into this today, knowing there may very well be things that we don't understand, and it's okay. We're going to read that at the end of this chapter. So please don't let us get discouraged along the way, Lord, you and your timing is perfect in the way that you want to reveal things to our hearts personally. And so we're going to trust you in that. Forgive us for our sins, Lord, you know what those things are. and we should too, but if we don't, please let

us know so that we can make it right. We want to be able to be here before you in purity,

in reverence, in holiness, and we don't want to defile that in any way. And so I just pray that

our hearts will be open to you to be able to do that surgery, to do that cleaning that is necessary. Help us also to forgive others, Lord, and please do not lead us into temptation. But deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. We love you so much. We pray these things in Jesus' name. Amen. All right, we're going to dive a little bit deeper into what Daniel touched on yesterday in

chapter 9.

form.

So make sure you check back if you do not see anything new in there. Okay, this is the final vision that Daniel has and that he is showing to us. And so we start off here in verse one in the third year of Cyrus, king of Persia. And so during this time, remember, Cyrus is the one who

sent the first exiles back. So we do have some exiles back in the land of Israel. A word was

revealed to Daniel, who was named Beltasazar, that of course being his Babylonian

name. So this being around 536 BC, meaning the chronology of this vision should be somewhere

between Ezra chapters 1 and 2, and Daniel is now around 84 years old. So he's getting up there

in wisdom. And the word was true and it was a great conflict.
