We have been talking a lot about the power of reconciliation and forgiveness and healing, but sometimes there's a quieter, often overlooked power

in creating space. In today's passage, we encounter a moment in the life of Esau where he made the

decision to move away. And that was really the key for him to be able to have peace and to grow, not just for him, but for his

family. This story might not get as much attention as some of the more dramatic moments in

scripture, but it holds valuable lessons for us on how we can manage our relationships and

boundaries and even personal growth in our own lives. So what is Esau's decision to move, teach us about family dynamics and peace and the wisdom

of establishing those healthy boundaries?

Will stick with me and we're going to take a deeper look.

I'm in Genesis 36 today and we're just doing the first eight verses.

The reason for that is I want to kind of extract

this often overlooked passage because it really is a way for us to handle things like healing,

especially in relationships where it might not be the healthiest thing to continue to be

in close proximity with that person.
