Amanda Borchelle, Dan, here in our Jerusalem offices with editor Amy Spiro.

Amy, thanks for joining me today.

Thank you for having me. We are going to discuss several individuals from our Those We Have Lost project. Amy, as ever, I would like you to

explain a little bit about this project and tell us what the Those we have lost project is.

So over the past year, we have been working every day essentially

to tell the stories of the people who were killed on since October 7th because it was such an

enormous number, really, you know, a number that Israel's never faced losing in one day in such a

concentrated period. It was clear that the people and the

stories and the individuals were going to be lost in this, you know, huge amount of news. So we've

been essentially working to just tell people who they are, who they were, how they died and how

they lived and who's mourning them.

So we've been doing that for a year.

We are still working on it.

So as of this recording,

which is a little bit in advance,

you know,

we're coming up essentially on publishing 800 posts and those represent around 900 people who've been killed.

Amy, you remember, of course, October 7th, nobody will forget that day.

And I remember towards the afternoon, we were trying to ascertain how many people had

been murdered.
