| 0:00.0 | Day 346 of Heart Dive 365. I'm your Bible study friend Kanoi. Welcome to the Heart Dive podcast. |
| 0:12.6 | We're continuing in Paul's third mission today. Well, in the middle of it. He's leaving Ephesus |
| 0:17.4 | and trying to get to Jerusalem, but he's going to take quite a journey. I will leave a graphic of Paul's third journey. If you want to take a look really quickly here, because I'm not going to jump back and forth. He is here in Ephesus at this point, started off in Antioch. He's going to sail over the Aegean Sea toward Macedonia, spend some time in this region, he's going to go down to Corinth, |
| 0:38.2 | heads up to Philippi before he sails across to Troas, and then he goes through these islands down |
| 0:43.2 | here before eventually making his way all the way down to Jerusalem. So again, I will try to remember |
| 0:49.8 | to put this graphic inside of the notes today, this coming from the Rose Book of Maps and charts and |
| 0:55.6 | other things, one of my favorite resources for the Bible. And just to bring us back into context, |
| 1:00.6 | we've been hearing from Paul this whole time. As we jump back into the book of Acts and read |
| 1:05.3 | chapters 20 through 23 today, don't forget that the author of the book of Acts is actually Luke. So this is his account of Paul's journey here. Now, before we begin, if you can please help us out, hit your roll call button, the thumbs up button if you're part of the Heartdive family. If you're new to this Bible study, we welcome you and ask that you just let us know where you're watching from. Tell us in the comments where you are in the world and how you found us. And please make sure to check out the show |
| 1:30.9 | notes or description box below the video so that you can get all of the resources and information |
| 1:36.3 | that you need about this Bible study. You can also check out our website, heartdive.org, |
| 1:40.7 | where we've got lots of resources for you. You can join our Facebook group, which is our |
| 1:45.5 | thriving community, growing community. We've got online groups that meet almost every single day, |
| 1:51.1 | but they're over there helping answer questions to encourage one another. It's just a |
| 1:54.7 | wonderful place to be. We are reading from the ESV by Crossway translation, but before we jump |
| 1:59.3 | into that, let's go ahead and prepare our hearts and prayer. |
| 2:02.0 | Heavenly Father, we are so grateful to be alive today. |
| 2:05.3 | We are so grateful that we've got breath in our lungs because that means that we are not yet done. |
| 2:09.8 | You're not done with us. |
| 2:11.3 | So we are thankful, Lord, that you have chosen us to be in relationship with you and to be a part of your redemptive plan. What an honor it is. And so we say thank you for that. So we ask, Lord, as we come before you as we open up your word, we ask Holy Spirit that you'll be here with us, that you will open up our eyes to be able to see you, open our ears, to hear your voice and open up our hearts. Lord, let it be fertile soil upon which the word will fall |
| 2:35.3 | and bear fruit. Please forgive us for our sins. We just ask that you please clear out anything that is |
| 2:40.4 | standing in the way of us being able to have that fellowship with you and that access to you. |
