Summary

0:58.7	So now a little review of what we have discussed and prayed with already regarding the ascension
1:01.8	before our time of prayer today.
1:06.1	First, we noted a way to, if you will,
1:07.7	traditionally understand what is happening in the ascension is to see it as the fulfillment of Psalm 110.
1:16.3	It's in Psalm 110 where the Lord says to David.
1:20.4	The Lord says to my Lord, sit at my right until I make your enemies your footstool.
1:25.7	And in the ascent of our Lord, like his ascension, we see him returning to
1:30.1	the right hand of the Father. And Jesus is ascension, right? It's not a going away. Therefore, it's not a cause
1:41.7	of sadness, but it is a cause of joy.
1:46.8	Because through his ascension, Jesus is not absent to us, but there's a new way of his being present to us.
