Summary

We’re invited to faithfulness in prayer and a journey to the mountaintop in the Transfiguration. Returning to this mystery, Fr. Mark-Mary meditates on the theme of Jesus’ revelation of himself, our contemplation on the mountaintop, and our reading from St. Anastasius of Sinai. As we pray our decade of the rosary, Fr. Mark-Mary leads us into a mountaintop experience, and then as we descend, invites us to bring this grace to the world. Today’s focus is the mystery of the Transfiguration and we will be praying one decade of the Rosary.

1:00.9	Today we will be meditating upon and praying with the fourth luminous mystery.
1:06.3	The transfiguration.
1:08.2	All right.
1:08.5	So the transfiguration is, in the words of Pope John Paul the second, the mystery of light par excellence.
1:17.6	To get our bearings as a reminder about the transfiguration and what it is fulfilling, we were looking at the Transfiguration account in the Gospel of Matthew.
1:29.8	That's Matthew chapter 17, verses 1 through 13.
1:34.1	And we were reflecting on this gospel by calling to mind what we come across in Exodus chapter 24,
1:42.4	verses 12 and 15, that to the the Israelites the glory of God looked like a consuming
1:49.0	fire on the top of the mountain and Moses he entered the cloud and he went up into the mountain
1:55.9	and he stayed there for 40 days and 40 nights it was was there on top of Mount Sinai
2:02.6	that he received the Ten Commandments,
2:05.0	the two stone tablets,
2:06.7	and that after conversing with God,
2:08.7	like in his glory,
2:10.5	Moses' own face would shine bright.
2:12.6	It would be so kind of radiant
2:14.1	that he would cover his face.
