0:13.3	Today we finished our 15th book of the Bible.

0:17.9	And even though there are 66 books, we're actually almost to the halfway point in our

0:24.6	Let's see what the wise men had to say to us today in Proverbs.
0:28.4	Chapter 30 is written by a man named Agua and it's the only place in Scripture where
0:32.3	his name occurs.
0:33.9	Some people think this may have been one of Solomon's pseudonyms, but no one knows for sure.
0:38.4	What we do know is that he has a different approach to wisdom literature than most other
0:42.3	wisdom authors.
0:43.8	They typically start up by saying something like, listen up, I'm about to drop all my wisdom
0:48.1	on you.
0:49.3	But he opens with something closer to, hey, nice to meet you, I'm an idiot.
0:54.2	He's not just being self-deprecating here, he's driving him a point.
0:58.2	He's saying that his wisdom in comparison to God's wisdom is absolutely zero.
1:03.2	He uses a lot of imagery that's reminiscent of when God spoke to Job and he points out
1:07.7	that God is so much more powerful and wise than any of us.
1:11.6	In verse 4, he also ends with a question that could be prophetic.
1:15.3	He's talking about God and his power and he says, who has established all the ends of
1:20.0	the earth?
1:21.0	What is his name and his son's name?
