| 0:16.7 | but there are still new things to notice and learn about God, so let's get to it. |
| 0:21.2 | There was one thing in chapter six that we've seen a few times before, |

| 0:26.6 | It's when David tells God that he wants to build the temple, |
| 0:29.0 | and God says no. |
| 0:30.5 | But he also affirms David by saying, you did well that it was in your heart. |
| 0:35.0 | God says David has a good desire, but the answer is no. |
| 0:40.0 | Sometimes even good desires get a no. |
| 0:42.0 | But when that no comes, it's at least Sometimes even good desires get a know. |
| 0:42.7 | But when that know comes, |
| 0:44.7 | it's at least comforting to know that our hearts aren't completely off track. |
| 0:48.5 | Good desires and God's know can coexist. |
| 0:52.4 | David is proof. And we can rest assured that when God does say no, |
| 0:57.0 | it's his kindest possible answer. Today we also saw more reminders that God isn't confined to the temple. |
| 1:03.7 | In chapter 6 verses 26 through 27, Solomon says, |
| 1:07.7 | if they pray toward this place and acknowledge your name and turn from their sin, |
| 1:12.0 | then here in heaven and forgive. |
| 1:14.0 | Solomon says the people will pray to God toward the temple |
| 1:18.0 | and God will hear from heaven. |
| 1:20.0 | This also reinforces the fact that he's a different kind of God from all the other gods. |
