Alrighty, getting all caught up here today.

We are in Joshua chapters 9 through 11.

Reading from the ESV by Crossway Translation and we will see Joshua and the Israelites taking over the southern and the northern cities of Canaan.

Now even though we're reading this in only three chapters will only take us minutes to read it, this actually happens across the span of seven years.

Heavenly Father, we thank you so much for being such a good God. Thank you, Lord, that even when we feel like we can't make it through the day, there you are, strengthening us, giving us everything we need to be able to get through. I thank you, Lord, for being the lifter of our head. I thank you for being our encourager. I thank you for giving us strength and courage to be able to do everything that you have asked us to do. There is nothing that you will ever ask us to do that we will not be able to get done because with you all things are possible.

Please forgive us of our sins, Lord, anything that we have done that has missed the mark,

where we have maybe transgressed or crossed over the line or even where we have fallen short.

I pray that you will make it known to us.

Open up our eyes, our ears, and our hearts to be able to hear your voice that whisper by which you speak. I pray that you'll drown out all other noises so that we do not get distracted or let us stray. Please also help us to

forgive others, Lord, because most of the time, the last thing we want is to be tethered to that person.

And so I pray that you will help us to just break free from that today. Please do not lead us into

Starting off here in chapter nine, as soon as all the kings who were beyond the Jordan, in the hill country, and in the lowland, all along the coast of the great sea toward Lebanon, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Parasites, the

Hivites, and the Jebizites, heard of this. They gathered together as one to fight against Joshua and

Israel. So this is a coalition of Canaanitesites that are coming together in fear, and these
