0:12.1	Welcome back, friends. We are in Exodus chapters 10 through 12 today, where we will finish out the
0:17.2	plagues, the final plague upon Egypt. But before we get into it, we do have a couple of things
0:22.6	to deal with for business. First of all, if you have downloaded the heart check bundles,

0:31.8	or on our website, to make sure that you are downloading them properly. And also just a heads up, if you downloaded the month of February for the future,
0:41.3	you're not going to receive any heart checks until they are uploaded by Holly every single day.
0:46.1	Because of course, we don't have any heart checks available yet for the future in February.
0:51.3	Also, just wanted to talk about something that we discussed yesterday because this
0:55.3	is Bible study and we have discussions and because it came up in the comments quite a few times,
1:00.5	some people were bothered by the discussion that we had about the theory that presented
1:06.3	the Nile turning to blood being a metaphor and the fact that it could have possibly actually been
1:12.5	torrential rains that brought in this soil and brought in the algae that turned it to the
1:16.8	color red. And some people were saying, nope, if God said it's blood, it's blood. That very well could be.
1:22.2	And I'm going to go with that as well. But what scholars have done is they look at every single
1:26.7	little angle and they looked at the progression of the plagues,
1:30.0	and they looked at the fact that the first nine plagues were all natural events.
1:33.9	Of course, with God's hand being upon them to have them hypernaturally or supernaturally happen.
1:39.2	And so turning into literal blood would not have fallen in line with that natural occurrence.
1:43.7	However, when they presented
1:45.3	this idea, it wasn't to try to prove God to be a liar. It wasn't to try to take away his power
1:50.6	or to say that there's no way God could turn water into blood, because we all know that he could.
