0:13.1	Today a LIHU finished the speech we started reading yesterday and I'm so glad that's
0:18.2	behind us.
0:19.2	I used to really like a LIHU because it kind of felt like he was on Job's side when
0:22.6	he started rebuking the other three friends.
0:25.1	But the more I studied this book, the more listening to him felt like a broken record.
0:30.3	Even though he started off a little more humble yesterday, he's become far more self-assured
0:34.5	the longer he talks, growing harsher in his rebuke of Job and even bordering on cruelty.
0:40.7	In 362 he claims to be speaking on God's behalf.
0:45.0	In verse 4 he refers to himself as perfect in knowledge.
0:49.6	Wow those are pretty big claims to make.
0:52.8	Just like with Job's other friends, the hard part about weeding through all of a LIHU's
0:56.9	words is that a lot of what he says about God is true.
1:00.3	For example, in 351 through 7 he points out that neither are sin nor our righteousness
1:06.6	affects God's position or perfection.
1:09.3	That's true.
1:10.7	He tells Job that his righteousness in particular can't be used for bordering with God.
1:15.8	That's true too.
1:16.8	We've talked about the fact that our righteousness is like filthy rags according to the prophet
1:20.7	Isaiah.
1:22.1	But where LIHU went wrong was an assuming that Job was trying to use his righteousness as
1:26.5	a bordering tool.
