David, welcome to prophecy watchers.

It's great to be with you, Gary.

Holding your book here, Zechariah, Israel, and her coming king. Somebody needed to write this book because Zechariah is loaded with prophecies of all sorts.

What would you say is the most important thing about the prophecy of Zechariah?

Well, of the minor prophets there are more messianic prophecies in the book of Zechariah

than any of the other minor prophets. And it comes in a close second to Isaiah, which of course

has 66 chapters. So for a small book, it's like a gold mine that's full of nuggets,

but it's small enough to where if you blink, you might miss it.

Right. It's kind of condensed.

It is. It really is.

Now, when you talk about something being condensed,

usually you're talking about taking a big subject

and putting it down

into a very few words, which is exactly what he does.

There's 14 chapters.

And of course, like other prophetic books in the Bible, old or New Testament, it's not

necessarily in chronological order.

So it does require some discernment

in terms of interpretation. But the fact that there are so many prophecies concerning both the

first and second advance of Christ, I think makes it very important. And again, I use the
