These are just a few of my friends that gave everything to serve.

Some in combat, some in training, and some taking their own lives as a result of their experience serving.

Memorial Day to me is a moment of deep, deep, deep reflection. Obviously,

some days I feel it just as badly as I do on Memorial Day. Many times where I'll see a friend's

post or recently this past weekend, my friend Matt

Best from Black Rifle Coffee posted a beautiful song he wrote and a montage paying tribute to all

the friends that he's lost and the people he's known. And it just hits you.

And there's other times where it'll be a random date of, you know, a day a guy died,

Operation Hawkeye on both X and Instagram as a page that is constantly,

and I'm very grateful to the young man who are not young

anymore, he's grown now, but who's been doing this for a long time and to always post the

men and women who've died for our country on his page to memorialize those people. Because that's what it is, right? We're trying to memorialize those people because that's what it is right we're trying

to memorialize the gravity of their experience whether it was unfortunately dying in training

or the the greatest sacrifice you can make which is to die for your brothers in combat.

And then, unfortunately, the all too common reality of the fact that some men and women can't manage for whatever reason,
