You know, as opposed to just coming back and telling us all about it in studio I figured we better

well go live so you can tell everybody about this experience and so just to give it some

context before I start asking you every question in the book because just for the record I have not spoke to Dave about this at all

And I've asked him not to tell anybody about it this morning in the studio which is hard but a couple months ago I remember you saying Brian I'm going to try to spend seven days homeless at the end of December can I have the time off and I remember you know I've been around for a long time but I haven't got that request before.

And so I started asking more questions about it and maybe you can tell us a little of the background before we get into it but I

remember thinking wow that's a tall order it's going to be cold I remember I've

been thinking about this whole kind of the Passena retreats where you go and you don't talk to people

and you meditate every day but this is kind of in a weird way something like that plus you deal

with the elements and all this other stuff. That's what I thought.

And so, you know, I was really impressed that you were doing it.

And I also know that you didn't necessarily want to document it or talk about it.
