Hello, David. Today, Rufus is sitting in the interviewer's chair, dear listener. And we're going to be chatting about what it was like to put this book together. And some of the key takeaways. Rufus, I'm going to hand you the keys here.

Well, first of all, David, congratulations on the selection of the Art of Business Wars as a nominee for the next big idea spring season.

These books are selected from all of the new books coming out of which there are tens of thousands. So this is no small accomplishment.

This is a huge honor for me and for actually for us, this is a book that is the result of a huge amount of teamwork on the backside.

I'm sure a lot of long-time business wars listeners will recognize because we're pulling a lot of stories from the business wars podcast that they may be somewhat familiar with.

And we're also bringing in a lot of other stories that we haven't had an opportunity yet at least to launch into on the podcast.

But on behalf of everybody behind the scenes that was involved in this, thank you for doing this for us. It's huge.

Our pleasure. Now, tell us about the premise of the book, David. I understand it's based on Sun Seuss, the Art of War. How did you adapt it for business wars?

It just so happened that Ernan Lopez, who was the founder of Wandery, had come up with this idea, we need to do a book and what if we call it the Art of Business Wars?

At the same time, I had had the same exact thought and the book took off from there, but fundamentally the idea is not just to repeat what's happening with the Business Wars podcast.

So, try to bring out something else and that is what are the lessons that you can draw from it? We obviously focus on the human aspect of these stories because there's such compelling narratives.

But we know based on the feedback that we've been getting from listeners, that people are listening and thinking about their own experiences and how they can learn from what's happening.
