Goni Carson changed my life twice.

I made him laugh.

But with Johnny, you knew you had a kid audience that you could really go great.

My wife at the curtain all held real close backstage.

People were running up and he said, go back out, go back out.

I walked back through the curtain very calm and Johnny, I took about

and Johnny put that little circle up at the finger and I I am Mark Malkoff. This week our guest is Dave Thomas, probably best known for his work on SC TV,

I'm doing great. Thanks for talking to me. Sure, it's a pleasure. So you moved around a lot growing up Canada, North Carolina, England. When did you first become aware of Johnny Carson?

Well, I guess it was when I was, when I came back to Canada, I'd be about 12 or 13 then.

And I mean, I was, I'm sure I was aware of him but I didn't start

watching him regularly until I was you know a teenager and you have to imagine that you know I lived in this little town at that point in Canada called Dundas

it's outside of Hamilton which is outside of Toronto it's about 13,000 people live there
